We are delighted to welcome Molly Phillips to the Witley Jones Furniture team in a full time Accounts Administrator role, following the successful completion of her apprenticeship and AAT qualification.

Molly’s new role will see her broaden her knowledge and skills across the operations, purchasing, sales account management and finance functions. This is alongside commencing a further AAT qualification to achieve Level 4.

Molly has been a welcomed asset to the Witley Jones team supporting Lucy Jones, Finance Director, in managing the accounts department of the business. Under Lucy’s guidance and training, Molly has developed a deep understanding of the company whilst studying for her AAT qualification.

“Witley Jones is a lovely environment to work in and lovely people to work with, it’s great to be part of the Witley Jones team! They have supported me massively through my apprenticeship and training, Particularly Lucy who has primarily trained me in my role so far and supported me through AAT Level 2.” commented Molly Phillips

“Working in a business environment was completely new to me; I’ve enjoyed learning new skills and using new software like SAGE. Starting AAT was definitely the most challenging aspect, balancing work, studying, exams and coursework. I enjoy working in the purchase ledger, particularly organising, and maintaining data and the problem-solving aspect to reconciling invoices and resolving discrepancies.”

Lucy Jones, Finance Director, commented, “Molly’s role has grown from supporting me in my role to supporting more broadly the Operations and Purchasing functions of the business. She will also be starting to learn more of the sales accounts side of things.

“As Molly learns more in supporting the wider team this will enable her to be able to really support through our busiest times of the year. My hope for Molly is in 3-5 years she will have completed her AAT Level 4 qualification and that she will effectively be running the purchase ledger while also being able to jump over to sales ledger easily.”
