Tracy Evans Represents England at the World Nations Cup of Walking Football 2025

World Nations Cup of Walking Football England

We are incredibly proud to share the fantastic news that our very own Tracy Evans has represented England at the World Nations Cup of Walking Football 2025, held recently in Spain.

Tracy was selected as part of a national squad made up of talented players from across the country, each balancing their passion for the sport with careers in a wide range of professions. The team trains together every six weeks at Solihull and arrived in Spain at the end of October to represent their country.

Reflecting on the experience, Tracy shared:
“The World Nations Cup of Walking Football was a dream come true. We were honoured and privileged to represent our country in what was one of the biggest walking football gatherings ever. I still can’t believe it.”

Throughout the group stages, England faced tough competition against Hong Kong, Australia, Wales, Spain, France and Canada. The team delivered outstanding performances, progressing confidently to the semi-finals where they secured a 1–0 victory over Australia.

The final World Nations Cup of Walking Football saw England meet France for the second time in the tournament. After a tense and hard-fought 0–0 draw, the match went to sudden-death penalties, where England were narrowly beaten.

Tracy commented “Losing still hurts, but the togetherness of the team -I’ve never experienced that before. We win together, we lose together – I am proud to be English.”

Despite finishing runners-up, Tracy’s achievement stands as an inspiring example of dedication, teamwork and national pride.

Everyone at Witley Jones is immensely proud of her success and delighted to celebrate this incredible moment in her sporting journey. Congratulations, Tracy!
